The Bible - A Jewish Book

Shalom

The foreshadowing of our Saviour Jesus is seen throughout the old Testament. In Genesis 22:9-14, a glorious reminder of obedience, relationship, trust/faith, love, and redemption comes forth.

Genesis 22:(9-14) Please read entire chapter of 22.

And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an alter there, and laid the wood in order; and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand; and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said,, Abraham, Abraham,: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for no I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh; as it said to this day, in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

For a fallen world, Yeshua shed his holy blood to cover the sins of all in the world. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28

Leviticus 17:11

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Hebrews  chapter 9 - please read

19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you, Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of the blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in heaven should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

We are redeem by the blood of the lamb, Jesus.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,(Numbers 21:7-9) even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son to condemn the world; but that the world  through him might be saved. John 3 :14-17
